What can Affinity One’s ADT Security Systems offer you ADT’s Security System can offer you total peace of mind. It is statistically proven that homes with an ADT Alarm are less likely to be broken into than those without. Your alarm would be monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by professionals. In the event that you do have a break in, you can rest assured that action is being taken to call the relevant services to attend your hom Why do I need an ADT Monitored Alarm System What is a keyholder and why are they needed Why are keyholders needed for an alarm The Police require that anyone with a monitored alarm provides the names, addresses and contact details of at least two people, who live within 20 minutes travelling time of the alarmed property, to act as keyholders. They will also be told the type of alarm (Intruder, Fire, Personal Attack etc) and whether ADT have called the Police or Fire Brigade. They may need to go to the property as soon as possible - and should remember to take the keys. If the Police or Fire Brigade have been called, keyholders should wait for them to arrive. They should not put themselves at risk or enter the property if the police or fire services are attending, until they are told it is safe to do so. Before leaving they will need to reset the intruder alarm using the System Code, to secure the property. They should also telephone the home owner to let them know about the alarm system activation. If the intruder alarm system has been tampered with, they may need to call The ADT Service Bureau to arrange an engineer visit. What does the alarm keyholder need to know The correct entry/exit route How to unlock the property Where the alarm system panel, keypad and proximity reader are located How to set and unset the burglar alarm system The Intruder Alarm System Code. This can be their own code if it is easier to remember The password for the alarm or their own Verification Number to identify them when on the property The telephone number of the ADT Alarm Receiving Centre The telephone number of ADT's Service Bureau, to request an engineer How to contact the homeowner Where the log book is kept How to reset the burglar alarm How to lock up again Do the Alarm Bell boxes work No they are decoy boxes that are fitted to the front and rear of the property at high level but but thyey have pulse LED that are battery powered and these last about 2 years. However this can be changed to working bells at an extra cost of £100.00. The working bell also has the LED lights but in addition has a strobe light that works when the bell activates
ADT only have monitored alarm systems that we are allowed to fit but we can fit non-monitored systems via our own company Affinity One Security Solutions.
Yes – But the intruder alarm beams finish about a metre from the floor which allows the animal to move beneath the intruder alarm detector beams. Cats can be a problem as they can jump above the beams and set the system off. However, this can be overcome by fitting devices on doors and windows and omitting the Passive Infra Red Intruder Alarm detector beams. Can we part set the alarm system Yes you can night set leaving downstairs on and upstairs off and have one additional part set to leave another area such as a Garage on while the rest of the house is off. Our engineer will do this to your requirements on completion of the alarm system installation. What is a Dual Tech detector A Dual Tech Detector senses movement and mass. Both these senses have to activate to trigger the security alarm system. This is useful as it reduces false alarm levels especially in Warehouses where you can get rodents.
A PIR is a motion detector that uses an infra red signal. A Passive Infra Red signal is sent out from the motion sensor security device, this signal bounces back to the sensor which is continually monitoring for changes in the returning signal.
We anticipate that an 8 zone job wired installation will take all day but a wire free system will take about 6 hours. Our engineers try to arrive at the premises between 8.30am-9.00am and complete the installation by 5.00pm. Larger intruder alarm installations will take a second day.
Yes we can carry out the burglar alarm installation in this manner but there is an additional cost of £140.00 to be added to the installation cost as we have to return to complete your intruder alarm installation. Do you take credit & debit cards Yes we do but there is a 2.5% surcharge on credit cards only as we are charged by card companies for processing your car
A 50% deposit is taken once the order has been placed. On completion of the intruder alarm installation the engineer will collect your any balance due.
